Six More Days...

I went to the doctor's today, here's what they told me: she looks really good\healthy. Plenty of fluid and no issues with the cord. They estimate her weight to be about 7lbs. The doc said that the baby is ready to come out, but my cervix just isn't dilating. So, we made an appointment with the hospital (Fletcher Allen Health Care) for induction on Monday 3/23. BUT...if they are too busy on Monday I may have to wait another day or two until a room opens up. From what they told me, I will need to call FAHC around 7am on Monday and if they have a room open then I'll be admitted and given a pitocin injection. Then, labor should begin (it will still take a while for me to dilate to 10 though). As long as everything goes okay, Molly should be born that night. Justin and I will keep everyone posted if anything changes though.

"Any Day Now"...Yeah Right

I went to the doc's today, still 1cm dilated. They said it doesn't look like she'll be coming out anytime soon. My next (and hopefully last) appointment is on the 17th; they'll do an ultrasound to determine if I should continue waiting for when the baby is ready or if they should induce me. I tried to beg and plead with her to induce me then and there, but she just smiled and said these things take time. So, the waiting continues...

Get This Baby Out Of Me!!!!

Okay, so now I'm thinking my doctor is full of it. Two weeks ago she told me "any day now". Tomorrow is Molly's due date, but I feel like she's never going to come out! Everyone and everything I read on the Internet says that the baby will come when its ready, but I've been trying every trick in the book to get her to think she's ready now. I've even bribed her with toys, candy, clothes and I promised I'd take her to Disney if she comes out now. But nothing. Well, I've actually been feeling contractions since Friday (my tummy gets real hard, feels like she's balled up in there), but I guess those are false labor contractions because they only happen every now and then and aren't painful at all. Tomorrow afternoon I go in for one last doc visit and will find out if I'm dilated anymore than 1cm. Last week she said that if I don't go into natural labor by the 18th they'll induce me, but I really don't want to risk having her be born on St. Patricks Day (especially since we're naming her Molly), so maybe if I ask real nice they'll induce before then if I need to be. Ugh, I just want her to born already - it would be really nice to not have swollen feet anymore, or an aching back, or be able to fit into my clothes, or be able to drink a mudslide or a glass of wine. Well, whenever she does decide to come out Justin and I will be sure to start calling everyone. Cross your fingers that it will happen soon! : )

I went to the doc's on 3/4: she is now 100% effaced and I'm 1cm dilated. 9 more to go!
